Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using CallJots, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

"Service" means the CallJots platform, including all VoIP calling, AI transcription, summarisation, and related features
"Company" means Joomo Enterprises, operator of CallJots
"User," "you," "your" means any individual or entity using the Service
"Content" means call recordings, transcripts, summaries, notes, and any data you create using the Service
"Cryptocurrency" means Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Lightning Network, and Stellar (XLM) used for payments

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Description of Service

CallJots is an AI-powered VoIP platform that provides:

VoIP Calling: Voice over IP calls using SIP/RTP/SRTP protocols with WebRTC browser support
AI Transcription: Real-time automatic speech recognition (ASR) using Whisper and Conformer models
Smart Summaries: AI-generated call summaries using BART and T5 transformer models
Speaker Diarisation: Identification of individual speakers in multi-party calls
Call Browser: Time-based searchable archive of call transcripts and notes
Crypto Payments: Bitcoin/Lightning and Stellar XLM payment processing

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
Make unsolicited calls (spam) or engage in call fraud
Record calls without consent of all participants (where required by law)
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
Use the Service for any illegal surveillance or wiretapping purposes
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

6. Cryptocurrency Payments

CallJots accepts Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Lightning Network, and Stellar (XLM) for payment
All cryptocurrency transactions are final and non-refundable once confirmed on the blockchain
You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds and correct wallet addresses
We are not responsible for losses due to incorrect wallet addresses, network fees, or blockchain congestion
Exchange rates are determined at the time of transaction

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to your call recordings, transcripts, and notes. We claim no ownership of your Content.
Our IP: The Service, including software, algorithms, designs, and trademarks, is owned by Joomo Enterprises and protected by intellectual property laws.
License to Us: You grant us a limited license to process your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., generating transcriptions).

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key principles:

End-to-end encryption for all call media
Zero-knowledge architecture for call notes and transcripts
We cannot read your calls or access your encrypted notes
You control your encryption keys
We never sell your data to third parties

9. Call Recording & Compliance

Call recording features comply with applicable laws regarding consent
You are responsible for obtaining necessary consent from all call participants before recording
We provide recording indicators to all participants when recording is active
Recorded calls are encrypted and stored according to our data retention policies

10. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control
We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joomo Enterprises, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days
After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of Joomo Enterprises. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

15. Dispute Resolution

First, contact us at legal@joomo.enterprises to resolve disputes informally
If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration
Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action

16. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Joomo Enterprises regarding the Service.
